HARNESSING THE STORM
This course explores how modern wind engineering informs hurricane damage assessments, property claims, and litigation. The session examines hurricane dynamics, wind-driven rain, and how these forces impact building performance and structural integrity, with an emphasis on practical, real-world application in investigations and dispute resolution. Participants will also review common wind engineering testing and evaluation methods, including pressure analysis and scale-model concepts, to better interpret damage patterns and causation.
